Lily Pad by Cathy Crain 'Unique' is overused; however, my hand formed clay Lilly Pads are truly unique. Each Pad starts with a simple slab of clay which is cut to the actual shape of a Lilly Pad. Decorative designs are stamped and carved into the Lilly Pad then the Pad is given dimensional shape and movement. Posts are added to the Pad to lift it off the wall for more dimension. After the clay dries, it is bisque fired and then it is meticulously glazed and fired a second time. No two are alike. 13 x 2” approx.
